Principal's Message
Harwin Elementary is located at 1193 Harper St, just west of downtown Prince George. Our school community includes over 290 students in grades K-7, as well as an eclectic mix of teachers, support staff and administration staff who are all enthusiastic and committed to student success.
At Harwin, we believe that education is a shared responsibility between the school and parents. At Harwin, students will be given opportunities to:
- develop responsibility, self-discipline, and self-respect
- develop communication, computation, and thinking skills
- develop a respect and understanding for others
- develop a desire to learn, and to acquire knowledge and skills in the recreational, physical, and cultural domains
Teachers at Harwin strive to include parents as well as the surrounding community into their teaching practice. They value their own learning and seek to be a good example to students outside of the classroom.
